Benefits of Dental Implants
Dental Implant Process
The implant process requires a number of visits over several months. Radiographs (X-rays) are taken and molds are made of the jaw and teeth to determine bone, gingival (gum) tissue and spacing available for the implant. The implant is surgically placed into the bone and allowed to heal and integrate itself into the bone.
After the integration period, an abutment and crown are attached to the implant, providing excellent stability, comfort and esthetics to the patient. We will provide care instructions after your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new implant. Dental implants are very strong, stable and durable, and will last many years, but on occasion, they will have to be re-tightened or replaced due to normal wear.
